There is no reason to prohibit a legitimate religious group such as HKBP to build a house of worship because the right of all Indonesians to practice their religion is protected by the Constitution.
Therefore, it is against the Constitution if anyone tries to prevent a religious group from building their house of worship.
Any actions against the Constitution or any other laws potentially create unrest among the people. Therefore, in connection with the revocation permit for church building, the higher government authorities should intervene, restoring the rights of the religious group to have their own house of worship and take appropriate measures to prevent any individual or group from violating our Constitution.
We have often witnessed that such incidents in our countries and such accidents will frequently happen again in the future if there is no action from the government to address the problem.
Don't give up on our Constitution. We have to improve our tolerance for people who have different faith from us.
