Pop singer Utha Likumahuwa passed away on Tuesday afternoon at Fatmawati hospital after suffering from a stroke, a family member said.

“[He] died at 1:30 p.m. He recently underwent surgery on his skull on Sept. 8,” Ria Likumahuwa, Utha’s niece, said as reported by kapanlagi.com.

She added that Utha’s health had been deteriorating.

“The tube for his blood flow broke loose this morning. His body became weak and his condition declined. The tube was reattached at midday, but his body remained very weak until he eventually passed away,” she said.

Your comments:

Utha is right. The Indonesian record labels and the government are after the money not the talent. Peace be with you, Utha.

This is a big loss for his beloved family and friends and for Indonesia. May our brother, Utha, rest in peace.
