Singer Bastian Steel shared happiness with children of an orphanage in South Jakarta in a charity event on Tuesday.

Bastian’s donation did not come in the form of money, clothes or toys. Instead, he and his brother, Romario, performed some songs for the children. For him, singing is the best thing he can do to bring joy to the kids.

The former member of the Coboy Junior boyband said he loves participating in a charity event as it is a perfect platform to share kindness with others.

“Why do I want to participate in charities? Because I love charities. I will help whenever I can help,” Bastian told kompas.com.

“It’s fun to share the joy with them. They insisted I sing my song ‘Lelah’ (Tired),” he said, referring to his heartbreak single. “So we sang together although the song is not suitable to be sung right here [...] but oh well.”

After resigning from Coboy Junior in 2014, Bastian went on to build a career as an actor and solo singer. He has released a handful of singles and starred in numerous sinetron (soap operas) and films.
