est Jakarta Police said an apartment in Srengseng, Kembangan district was being used as a drug warehouse in their follow up to an investigation into a case pertaining to drugs being stored in the laboratory of a school in West Jakarta.

Investigators raided an apartment in Kembangan on Tuesday. The raid was conducted after police questioned three suspects accused of hiding drugs in the school’s laboratory.

“Inside, we found hundreds of pills and other drugs,” Kembangan Police chief Comr. Joko Handoko said on Tuesday as reported by tempo.co.

Two employees of a school in West Jakarta, initialed DL and CP, were arrested last week for allegedly storing crystal methamphetamine in the school’s laboratory.

Investigators have seized 355.56 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 7,910 pills and prescription drugs in the raids on the school and apartment.

DL and CP are suspected of being couriers for a drug network operating out of a prison and they were allegedly responsible for transporting drugs from another person identified as LK.

Joko said the pair could have received a fee of Rp 100,000 (US$7.08) to Rp 500,000 for narcotics delivery and storage.

“DL and CP could also get free meth to use ,” Joko said. (gis)
