Government mall offers easier, faster public services

They call it a “Mall for Public Services”, but it looks more like a department store or a supermarket. Here, you can get almost any type of public service you need under one roof. Calling it a “mall” is certainly easier than using its official title: the Capital Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency. Even its Indonesian acronym is a mouthful: DPMPTSP. Initially set up to serve businesses’ permit needs, the Jakarta administration, which runs the mall, has been adding other services for ordinary citizens and the large expatriate community that resides in the Indonesian capital.
