City-owned transportation company PT Transjakarta’s newly appointed president director Donny Andy Sarmedi Saragih was sacked on Monday, just five days after his appointment, following revelations of his past criminal record. The decision was made by Transjakarta shareholders outside of a shareholder meeting (RUPS), according to an official statement. The company is 99.66 percent owned by the city administration and 0.34 percent by city-owned developer PT Jakarta Propertindo.
