ngela Lee has one goal in mind when she steps into the Circle on Saturday. The ONE atomweight world champion will be looking to add another belt to her collection.
The 26-year-old mom-champ will face the reigning ONE women’s strawweight champion Xiong Jing Nan in a highly anticipated trilogy fight that will determine the true MMA queen in ONE Championship. Ahead of the big fight in Singapore Indoor Stadium, she took to Instagram to convey her message.
“I don't need the hype. I don't need to talk about myself in third person or say my name and my title out loud for everyone to hear. I know who I am, and I know what I'm here to do,” she wrote in the caption while posting pictures of their heated faceoffs during the weigh-in ceremony.
“Tomorrow there will be no more smiles... Until my hand is raised of course 🏆🏆 #ANDNEW #MomChampChamp #ONEonPrimeVideo2," she added.
The mega trilogy fight has been three years in the making. They first met in Tokyo in March 2019 to headline ONE: NEW ERA. At that time, Xiong’s strawweight strap was put on the line.
The then-undefeated Lee suffered her first loss in her storied career via technical knockout (TKO) in the fifth round. However, seven months later, the Singaporean-American avenged her loss in a similarly emphatic fashion.

Since then, they have both remained untouchable in their respective divisions, with Lee making a comeback win over Stamp Fairtex after stepping away from the Circle to give birth to her baby.
