The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) has named Deputy East Java Governor Saifullah "Gus Ipul" Yusuf as its East Java gubernatorial candidate, joining the National Awakening Party (PKB), which declared support for Gus Ipul in May.
