View all search resultsIndonesia has recorded its biggest surge of COVID-19 cases with 1,331 new confirmed cases on Thursday, a day after the country officially surpassed Singapore with the highest number of infections in the Southeast Asia region.
The new task force spokesperson gained her reputation as a television doctor when she co-hosted the Indonesian version of The Dr. Oz Show on Trans TV, a stint which may turn out to be a good training ground for her current position.
The government announced 1,241 new confirmed cases on Wednesday, surpassing the previous all-time-high of 1,043 new cases recorded the previous day, with 36 news deaths and 715 newly recovered patients also recorded.
