View all search resultsThe two countries are set to announce an upgrade to their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership next year, which will include plans for closer military collaboration, Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles said during a ministerial visit to Singapore.
The joint exercise, which started last week, came as newly inaugurated President Prabowo Subianto pledged closer ties with Russia on defence, in a bid to forge links with any country as part of Jakarta's long-held non-aligned foreign policy.
