View all search resultsThe University of Indonesia Lecturers Alliance has conveyed its support for a discussion on racism in Papua that was previously disavowed by the UI rectorate board over claims of academic sloppiness and lackluster planning.
Held on Saturday and titled #PapuanLivesMatter: Racism in the Legal System in Papua, the discussion largely revolved around the prosecution of seven Papuan activists charged with treason for their involvement in antiracism protests in Jayapura, Papua, in August 2019.
A number of parents of University of Indonesia students are providing free food to students from outside the Greater Jakarta area who are currently staying within or near the university's compound in Depok, West Java, during the COVID-19 outbreak.
