View all search resultsWhile the majority of cities and regencies in Aceh have entered the post-disaster recovery phase, four have maintained emergency status more than two months since flooding and landslides swept through the province last November, as many villages remained cut off by mud and debris.
BNPB spokesperson Abdul Muhari, said more than 29,600 temporary houses have been requested for evacuees across the three affected provinces. However, as of Wednesday, only 1,056 temporary houses have been completed, while 7,414 are still under construction.
The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) detected 190 fire hotspots across Sumatra on Monday, with Aceh recording the highest number at 110, followed by North Sumatra with 43.
