The shift to reintegrate the management of the two fields when they were previously separated under two bodies in the previous Cabinet — namely the Tourism Ministry and the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) — raises questions about the possible outcomes of the reintegration.
Under the main theme Film Bagus, Citra Indonesia (Quality Film, Indonesia’s Images), which will be used until next year, the 2019 FFI also collaborated with the Education and Culture Ministry, Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) and the Indonesia Film Board (BPI) to encourage both established and aspiring filmmakers to produce films that could meet international standards.
The Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf) will channel Rp 4.5 billion (US$320,613) in grants to 62 creative economy businesses so they can boost productivity as the share of the creative economy's contribution to gross domestic product (GDP) continues to increase.
