View all search resultsIndia prepared to hold funerals on Thursday for some of the 20 soldiers killed in brutal hand-to-hand fighting with Chinese troops in a disputed mountainous border region, as the two governments sought to de-escalate tensions.
“Indonesia closely follows any developments regarding the issue, and of course [we] hope that the relevant parties can find ways to reduce tension,” Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said in a press briefing on Wednesday.
