View all search resultsA decline in sales has been one of the impacts of the rising average price of sugar in Jakarta since January. Sugar production nationwide is estimated to have declined to around 2 million tons this year from 2.2 million tons in 2019, according to an outlook released in February by the Indonesian Sugar Association (AGI).
“The goal is to help the visually impaired attain independence, especially women,” said Rosmawati, adding that having a cafe staffed with visually impaired baristas was new in Indonesia but was more common in South Korea.
Businesses around stations had been suffering while the MRT was under construction but have been reinvigorated since operations for the first phase began in March, taking advantage of the increasing number of people using the new mode of transportation.
