The appointment of Robert Pakpahan as the director general of taxation will bring a more moderate face to the tax authority, said Center for Indonesia Taxation Analysis (CITA) executive director Yustinus Prastowo in Manado, North Sulawesi, on Thursday.
The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Taxation Directorate General are teaming up to investigate the overseas transfer of US$1.4 billion by an Indonesian national.
