View all search resultsThe West Java administration has been gearing up for relocation procedures in some of the province’s landslide-prone regions, including in Sukabumi and Cianjur, as heavy downpours show no sign of ending any time soon.
Central Sulawesi Governor Longki Djanggola on Wednesday revealed the result of the administration’s final count of victims in recent deadly disasters on the province, noting that the powerful earthquake and subsequent tsunami and soil liquefaction last September had claimed 4,340 lives.
The program currently tends to about 300 chickens that will be sold in a local market in the next two weeks. Proceeds of the sale will be divided between inmate volunteers and participating survivors, most of whom are from Petobo subdistrict.
