Indonesia's second largest Muslim organization Muhammadiyah is suggesting Muslims should not perform the tarawih night prayers during the fasting month of Ramadan or Idul Fitri prayers publicly should the COVID-19 situation not improve.
The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has questioned the Jakarta administration's plan to hold a mass tarawih (evening Ramadan prayers) at the National Monument (Monas) compound and has suggested relocating it to mosques instead.
