Namibia has implemented a new immigration policy that allows Indonesians to stay in the country for 30 days without a visa.

The Indonesian Embassy in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, posted the policy on Twitter.

On its Facebook page, the embassy also stated that the Namibian government had applied visa exemptions for holders of diplomatic, official (service) and ordinary passport to enter Namibia, effective from Aug. 21.

Namibia is known for its dramatic dunes and deserts, as well as a wide variety of animal and plant species. Sossusvlei in the southern part of the Namib desert is surrounded by high red dunes, making it one of the most famous tourist attractions in the country.

There are nine national parks in Namibia, including Etosha National Park, the Waterberg National Park and Cape Cross Seal Reserve. With an area of 22,270 square kilometers, Etosha is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles. It is also home to the endangered black rhino. (wng)
