Located in the parking area behind Gedung Jaya office building in Central Jakarta, The Jaya Pub is among the legendary bars of the capital.
Operating from 5 p.m., it brings you back to the 1970s through its ambience, including its wooden interior and posters of classic movies and actors that are plastered along its walls.
It also has small horns hanging above several tables to be used by its customers when they are enjoying the live music – their function being similar to hand-clapping.
According to tempo.co, The Jaya Pub was established in 1975 by celebrity couple Rima Melati and the late Frans Tumbuan. Their photos are still displayed in one of the bar’s corners.

Music: blues and classic.
Wear: smart casual.
On the house: Aside from offering beers, the bar also provides Western and Indonesian cuisine, including generous portions of fish and chips, steaks and fried rice.

Murphy’s Irish Pub & Restaurant
Said to be the first Irish pub in Jakarta, Murphy’s Irish Pub & Restaurant is located on the busy street of Jl. Kemang Raya in Kemang, South Jakarta. Its décor, atmosphere and menu are designed to make you feel like you are in a pub in Ireland.
Guests who wish to watch sports are catered to at Murphy's, and there is a pool table and a dart board for guests to entertain themselves.

Originating in Singapore, Brewerkz has two outlets in Indonesia, at Senayan City in Central Jakarta and The Breeze in Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD), South Tangerang. It has been one of go-to places for sports enthusiasts to cheer on their favorite teams, although the place is also good for brunch or an after-hours hang out.
Brewerkz offers different beers, including India pale ale and golden ale. The food comes in generous portions. It has indoor and outdoor seating.

Music: Mostly pop and rock, usually on Wednesdays and Fridays.

On the house: If you are can't decide which beer is most suitable for your taste, they have beer samples comprising four 120-milliliter glasses of Brewerkz beers. Another plus size: They sell half-sized pizza as well.
