ICEFEST invites families to experience holiday season in winter-themed festival

Held at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) at BSD City, the winter festival aims to both educate and entertain families of all ages through kid-friendly activities, shopping booths and culinary stations.

Held in Hall 5-10, Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) at BSD City, Tangerang, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. until Dec. 29, the festival aims to educate and entertain families of all ages through kid-friendly activities, shopping booths and culinary stations. 

“Visitors will experience first-hand a variety of activities with elements of education, entertainment, cuisine and shopping,” said Ryan Adrian, president director of organizer PT Indonesia International Expo.

The festival will also feature a winter parade held daily to mark the transition from the bright winter day to the colorful light-decorated night. 

To entertain visitors, there will be music performances by KLa Project and Glenn Fredly, Naura’s Fairytale Concert 4 and the charity concert Heart for Mama. Jazz artists Barry Likumahuwa and Monita Tahalea are also set to perform on the MLDSPOT Stage Bus Jazz at the MLD Lounge.

Buses and free shuttles are provided for visitors to get to the festival. The buses are available at Mangga Dua, North Jakarta; Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta; and Ratu Plaza in Senayan, with a fare of Rp 20,000 (US$1.43). To catch the free shuttle buses in BSD, visitors can hop on from Rawa Buntu, Intermoda Cisauk, Sunburst and Edutown 2 (Tapal Kuda). 

Entry is Rp 50,000 ($3.57) and tickets are sold on the spot at the Kalimaya Basement, Hall 7 to 10, ICE BSD.

Tickets purchased with BCA credit cards, debit cards, Flazz and Sakuku will get a 20 percent discount. (vel/wng)
