U

krainian President Volodymir Zelensky on Saturday held a meeting with Defense Minister and president-elect Prabowo Subianto at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore to discuss efforts to bring peace to the war-torn Eastern European country.

In his meeting with Prabowo, Zelensky discussed Ukraine’s 10-point peace plan, which calls for the restoration of Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders and the withdrawal of all Russian troops from its territory.

"We discussed progress in implementing the Peace Formula and areas of bilateral cooperation. We hope for Indonesia's participation in the first Global Peace Summit at the highest level and support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Zelensky posted on social media platform X on Saturday.

On X, Zelensky also said he had met a delegation from the United States Congress and the president of Timor-Leste, Jose Ramos-Horta.

He said Ramos-Horta had agreed to attend the peace summit, scheduled for mid-June in Switzerland. At last year's Shangri-La Dialogue, Prabowo proposed an Indonesian plan for ending the war in Ukraine.

The Shangri-La Dialogue, organized by the London-based International Institute of Strategic Studies, ends on Sunday.

Russia has not attended the security summit in Singapore since it invaded Ukraine in 2022.
