View all search resultsThe meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron is slated after President Prabowo Subianto met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow about energy security.
resident Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron during the former’s visit to Paris on Tuesday, one day after his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin about energy, among other topics.
The meeting will take place at the Elysee presidential palace in Paris, where both leaders are expected to “discuss enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries”, according to Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
Prabowo is also expected to voice Indonesia’s strategic view on latest geopolitical development during the meeting.
“The President [...] will convey Indonesia’s position on maintaining stability and pushing for world peace,” Teddy said in a statement on Tuesday.
Prabowo landed in Paris at around 11:50 p.m. local time following a five-hour meeting with Putin at the Kremlin in Moscow. The length of the meeting, Teddy said, reflected both countries’ seriousness in strengthening strategic cooperation, especially on energy, mineral resources and national industry development.
