resident Prabowo Subianto met with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday in Paris, the second stop on his latest foreign trip after talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Moscow the day prior.
The President arrived in Paris late on Monday night. He was slated to meet with Macron at the Elysee presidential palace on Tuesday afternoon Paris time to “discuss enhancing strategic cooperation between the two countries,” Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a statement on Tuesday morning Jakarta time.
“President Prabowo will not only reinforce cooperation with the French government, but also articulate Indonesia’s stance in maintaining global stability and promoting global peace,” Teddy said, referring to the geopolitical tensions triggered by the United States-Israeli war on Iran.
