Taking the theme of "Tangguh dalam Cinta" (Resilient in Love), the festival is organized by five Ursuline schools in Jakarta and Banten; St. Maria, St. Ursula Jakarta, St. Theresia, St. Vincentius and St. Ursula BSD. 

The highlight of the festival will be a grand musical drama titled Mutiara dari Timur: Nyala Perjuangan Martha Christina Tiahahu (Pearl from the East: The Flame of Martha Christina Tiahahu’s Struggle) as its highlight, showcasing a combined cast of approximately 520 students ranging from kindergarten to high school.

Rooted in the Serviam (I serve) spirit instilled by the Ursuline founder, Saint Angela Merici, the festival serves as a moment to look toward the future and consider how education can continue to contribute to Indonesia's progress. 

Sister Moekti Gondosasmito, OSU, second chairperson of the Satya Bhakti Foundation noted that 170 years is not a short journey, and the festival is an expression of gratitude for the Ursulines' presence in Indonesia, as well as a form of gratitude that the order wishes to share with those in need.

Festival committee chair Anton Sumardi said the event offers a rare opportunity for the five Ursuline schools to collaborate and showcase their shared identity, adding that the story of Martha Christina Tiahahu was chosen for its "common thread between the struggle of Saint Angela Merici who educated young women, and the courage of Martha, who fought for her nation from the time she was a teenager."

Musical drama director Rama Soeprapto stated that Martha Christina Tiahahu’s life journey is a tale of heroism from eastern Indonesia that is rarely told. 

"History is not merely to be read, but to be brought to life, so that children do not just know the name Martha Christina Tiahahu, but also feel the weight of her struggle and the depth of her courage," he said. 

The festival will also feature an education fair showcasing national and international universities, a variety of educational competitions, parenting seminars, an extracurricular showcase and a bazaar offering MSME products and culinary delights. 

Admission to the Education Festival is free, while tickets for the grand musical drama Mutiara dari Timur can be purchased via Loket.com. 

Proceeds from the event will support the sustainability of the Ursuline Scholarship Foundation (USF), which has awarded 8,095 scholarships across more than 25 cities in Indonesia and Timor-Leste as of the 2025/2026 academic year. In the 2025/2026 academic year alone, the USF assisted 709 out of 919 applicants, highlighting a need that far exceeds current assistance capacity.
