ndonesia’s East Ventures led another Series A funding round to the amount of US$13 million for TipTip, an Jakarta-based platform allowing content creators to monetize their works.
B.I.G Ventures, Vertex, Sinar Mas Digital Ventures and several angel investors participated in this round. Except for the former, the same firms were also involved in the start-up’s seed funding round worth $10 million in March this year.
“We are incredibly honored and delighted by the continued trust and support of Southeast Asia’s leading investors in our oversubscribed Series-A round,” said CEO and founder of TipTip Albert Lucius.
Albert added that the funds would be directed toward accelerating adoption and diversifying product offerings. Founded in October 2021 and launched in July this year, the company has established a presence in 40 Indonesian cities.

Albert explained that there was a gap in the fast-growing content creators’ segment in Southeast Asia, a gap that TipTip aims to bridge.
The platform serves as a marketplace where content creators can connect and engage with fans through live sessions and can create, showcase and monetize their content by selling it directly or via TipTip’s promoter network.
