Agung Podomoro signs deal on Nusantara housing project

Property giant Agung Podomoro Land and the IKN Authority's PT Bina Karya have inked a deal to break ground on one of the first residential areas in Nusantara, the nation's future capital being developed in East Kalimantan.

eal estate and property giant PT Agung Podomoro Land has signed a cooperation agreement with PT Bina Karya of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) Authority to build a housing estate in the country’s new capital in East Kalimantan.

Agung Podomoro Land president director Bacelius Ruru and Bina Karya director Boyke Prasetyanto sealed the deal on Monday at a signing ceremony in Jakarta.

The collaboration between the two companies marked the first step in developing a residential area in Nusantara, news portal Kumparan.com reported on Tuesday, quoting a statement from Bacelius: "As good citizens, we’re proud that we will be part of Indonesia Gold 2045 through our contribution to the development of IKN.”

Under the Indonesia Gold 2045 vision, Indonesia aims to become a developed economy by its independence centenary.

Agung Podomoro Land's plan to invest in Nusantara was initially conveyed through an investment interest letter sent to Bina Karya in March 2024.
