ublicly listed food manufacturer PT Mulia Boga Raya, the maker of cheese brand Prochiz, is set to invest Rp 691.65 billion (US$44 million) to build a new production facility in Sumedang, West Java, to meet surging demand.
The new plant, set to break ground this year and be completed by 2028, will have an annual capacity of 45,249 tonnes, more than double the company’s current output.
“Rising demand for our products is outpacing our current production capacity,” the company said in a regulatory filing published through the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Wednesday.

The food company will finance the Sumedang factory with 93.48 percent of its equity, which amounted to Rp 739.86 billion as of December 2024.
Mulia Boga Raya, a subsidiary of food and beverage manufacturing giant PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya, was established in 2006 and went public on the IDX in 2019 under the ticker KEJU.
The firm currently operates a single factory in Cikarang, West Java, with a total installed capacity of 33,064 tonnes per year, including 30,562 tonnes for cheese and 2,502 tonnes for mayonnaise.
