T Pertamina (Persero) held AKHLAK Fest 2024 to reinforce the company's transformation over the past four years. Held on July 9 at the Istora Senayan indoor arena of the Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex in Jakarta, the event was attended by State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Erick Thohir, Pertamina Chief Commissioner Simon Aloysius Mantiri and Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati, as well as thousands of Pertamina employees.

AKHLAK Fest 2024 aims to strengthen the six values of Pertamina's work culture – Amanah, Kompeten, Harmonis, Loyal, Adaptif, Kolaboratif (trustworthy, competent, harmonious, loyal, adaptive, collaborative) – which have provided a strong foundation for the company’s transformation into a world-class energy company.

Speaking at the event, SOEs Minister Erick Thohir expressed his appreciation for Pertamina in organizing AKHLAK Fest 2024, noting that Pertamina contributed consistently to developing the AKHLAK work culture.

"I might have attended Pertamina's AKHLAK event two or three times already," he added.

Erick also expressed his hope that all Pertamina employees would avoid using AKHLAK as a mere slogan and instead implement the values in their day-to-day lives.

"And I have seen the transformation happening at Pertamina, including how the people’s transformation can be felt," Erick said.

Pertamina President Director Nicke Widyawati emphasized that the AKHLAK values must continue to be internalized so Pertamina could contribute effectively to a better future.

"We must remember that as an energy company, we aim to be a catalyst for Indonesia's economic growth. So if economic growth is 7 percent, then we must be able to provide 1.8 to 2 times the energy," Nicke said.

She added that as a state-owned enterprise, it was Pertamina's duty to maintain energy security and meet national energy needs. The company’s duties therefore also included decarbonization and the use of clean energy to help protect the environment.

Pertamina Vice President Corporate Communication Fadjar Djoko Santoso said AKHLAK Fest 2024 was expected to unite all employees of Pertamina Group in the spirit of “One Pertamina”, while serving as a showcase for the cultural programs of all companies under the Pertamina Group umbrella.

"The AKHLAK work culture guidelines have driven Pertamina's successful transformation into a more agile, adaptive and efficient company, with the company's performance showing a positive trend, especially over the past four years," said Fadjar.

He added that the AKHLAK work culture would continue to be strengthened to support the company's strategic initiatives, such as the implementation of health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) standards, environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles as well as digital transformation.

"Pertamina adopted AKHLAK as its work identity and culture to become a leading global energy company with a reputation for environmental friendliness, social responsibility and good governance," Fadjar emphasized.

AKHLAK Fest 2024 featured a variety of activities, including talk shows, the Pertamina Officer Awards and the activities of the Pertamina Group employee community.
