o:p>The Jakarta Police have arrested three civilians linked to the death of Imam Masykur, a 25-year-old Aceh native who was allegedly abducted and tortured by three members of the Indonesian Military (TNI) in an extortion plot.
The Jakarta Police director of the general crime department Sr. Comr. Hengki Haryadi said the civilians were Zulhadi Satria Saputra, Heri and another man identified only by his initials AM.
"Zulhadi is the brother-in-law of one of the soldiers. He drove the perpetrators during the victim’s kidnapping," Hengki said on Tuesday as reported by Antara.
Heri and AM, he added, were fences who bought the victims' belongings after the crime.
"We arrested the three suspects after working together with the Jakarta Military Police [Pomdam Jaya] to investigate the case," Hengki said.
Three soldiers – identified only by their initials RM from a unit of the Presidential Security Detail (Paspampres), J of Iskandar Muda Military Command in Aceh and HS from the Army headquarters – were arrested for the alleged abduction and murder of Imam over the weekend.
