Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono is working to settle land disputes in the IKN as per President Jokowi’s directive.
ewly appointed Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister and National Land Agency (BPN) head Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono has directed his staff to settle the status of 2,086 hectares of land for the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) project.
The directive followed President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo's recent visit to the IKN site, where he emphasized the need for a swift and transparent resolution of the land issue.
"President Jokowi reminded us of the importance of settling the 2,086-ha land issue during his visit last week," Agus said during the ministry’s national working meeting on Thursday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
“This matter needs to be resolved [so that it is] clean and clear, so that investors have confidence in their investments in IKN.”
Agus has also requested progress reports from first-echelon officials under the supervision of Deputy Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Raja Juli Antoni.
Previously, Agus had committed his ministry to prioritizing the IKN megaproject.
He identified several plots crucial for constructing supporting infrastructure, such as toll road access and an airport.
