rabowo Subianto, the likely winner of this year’s presidential election, uploaded to Instagram on Monday a photograph of him having dinner with his former wife Siti Hediati "Titiek" Hariyadi and their son, Didit Hediprasetyo.
The uncaptioned photo shows the defense minister and Gerindra Party chairman focusing on his plate as Titiek looks toward Didit, who is holding a bowl in one outstretched hand.
It is the first known photograph that captures Prabowo during an intimate moment in his private life.
The dining room decor and furniture indicate that the photograph was taken inside Prabowo's private residence on Jl. Kertanegara in South Jakarta’s upmarket neighborhood of Kebayoran Baru.
Prabowo married Titiek, the daughter of Indonesia’s second president Soeharto in 1983, but they divorced sometime after Soeharto and his New Order fell from power in 1998.
There is some speculation that Titiek and Prabowo might retie their knot so she could serve as First Lady if Prabowo is inaugurated in October, following a declaration from the General Elections Commission (KPU) later this month announcing him as the winner of the Feb. 14 election.
Their only child Didit is a fashion designer based in Paris, and while he is generally seen as uninterested in politics, the 39-year-old however accompanied his father on the campaign trail for the 2024 election.
