T

he Bali Police have requested an Interpol Red Notice for a foreign national suspected of abducting and robbing a Ukrainian, according to its chief spokesman.

“The wanted list issued by the Bali Police has been sent to all Interpol country members and is currently in the search process,” Sr. Comr. Ariasandy said on Tuesday in Denpasar, as quoted by Kompas.com.

“Although the suspect is no longer in Indonesia, his movement will surely be [traced] by immigration and in every Interpol country member,” said Arisandy, who did not disclose either the identity or nationality of the suspect.

The wanted individual was allegedly involved in the robbery of Ukrainian national Igor Iermakov on Dec. 15 last year in Kuta, Badung regency. Iermakov was traveling in a white BMW car when he and his driver, identified only by the initial A, were accosted by a group comprised of six Russian nationals, two Kazakhs and a Ukrainian.

Ariasandy announced in February that police were still looking for the group, for which a Red Notice had been requested some time ago.

Evidence collected by detectives from the National Police’s General Crimes Directorate led to the inclusion of the latest suspect in the notice.
