very time you're at the office, there are some people who put slices of lemon in their water. At first, you may think it's just a trend, but you become curious as weeks go by. And then you ask them the reason or benefit behind putting lemon slices in their water. There are different answers from every one of them: to keep their skin healthy or to prevent cancer, for instance.
Judging by the appearance, lemon water does look fresh and refreshing. It is good for you even though not all the theories about the benefits of lemon water are factual.
Drinking water alone is good for you, but here's why putting lemon slices in your water is even better. And in case you're celebrating Ramadhan, perhaps you should consider adding some lemons in your water for sahur.
Digestion
Drinking water as the first thing you do in the morning is very good for your health. When you're sleeping, you become dehydrated and you lose the right amount of liquid inside your body.
Lemon water makes this benefit even better by helping your body soothe indigestion, heartburn, bloating and burping.

Immune system
Everybody knows that lemon contains a good amount of vitamin C even though the amount is not as dense as the vitamin C found in oranges. Drinking lemon water in the morning is good for your immune system. Even better, lemon water can help you reduce stress, and that’s why many people drink lemon water at work nowadays.
Healthy skin, fit body
Maybe this is the main reason why people like drinking lemon water. And again, it's because of the vitamin C that helps your skin produce collagen that makes your skin feel smooth.
Lemon water also helps you when you’re struggling with weight loss, more so than plain water.
