China-based tech company Vivo is slated to release a new smartphone line that offers a newly designed front camera equipped with "the highest photo resolution in the world", complemented by a “soft light” feature that may play a significant role in capturing the best selfies.

hina-based tech company Vivo is slated to release a new smartphone line that offers a newly designed front camera equipped with "the highest photo resolution in the world", complemented by a “soft light” feature that may play a significant role in capturing the best selfies. 

Vivo V5 is equipped with a 20 megapixel front camera that boasts the ability to illuminate users’ selfies with emulated “natural” lighting that distinguishes the usual harsh white light leaks that regular flashes give out. It also features Face Beauty Mode 6.0, which is dedicated to enhance selfie results.

Vivo Mobile Indonesia spokesperson Kenny Chandra said in a press release that the company indeed focused on optimizing photographical capabilities for those who are keen on utilizing smartphones to capture photos. “The camera features in our products are what we considered as the most crucial competitive advantage in our arsenal."

There is no information yet regarding the launch date nor price of the smartphone. 

Vivo entered the Indonesian market in 2014 and is currently serving customers in the country's 360 cities across 32 provinces. (fmn/kes)
