Editing photos and illustrations in Photoshop will soon be able to be made through voice instruction—no hands involved.
Computer software company Adobe is currently working on a digital assistant that follows the user’s voice command, designed to understand the individual’s "creative workflows and creative aspirations”, as reported by TechRadar. Adobe Research, the research and development division of Adobe, announced plans to develop the concept last week.
Similar to the way Apple’s Siri looks up restaurants in a certain area or movies schedules that are currently playing, Photoshop’s digital assistant can carry out editing work—cropping, flipping photos, adjusting the exposure—from the user’s verbal instruction.

To demonstrate how the voice-controlled assistant works, the company released a video showing a man giving the software voice commands to execute simple actions to modify an already edited photo such as cropping, flipping, and posting it on Facebook.
This is the only publicly promoted first step that Adobe has taken to realize its digital assistant. Since the concept is still under long-term development, more advanced and cutting-edge features are expected to build upon this “Interactive Agent for Photo Editing”, as it is called by Adobe in the video.
