K-pop World Festival 2017 to be streamed on Twitter
The annual K-pop World Festival 2017 is scheduled to be streamed globally on Twitter for the first time on Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. local time (5 p.m. in Jakarta).

he annual K-pop World Festival 2017 is set to be streamed globally on Twitter for the first time on Sept. 29 at 5 p.m., Jakarta time.
The seventh installment of the festival will feature popular K-pop artists such as BTS, Twice, Ailee, Monsta X, ASTRO and NCT127.
They will perform in real time on a stage located at the Changwon Sports Complex Stadium in South Korea.
Those who want to watch the show should tune in to the festival’s streaming page.

At the same time, the festival will collaborate with Twitter to launch the Twitter Popular Choice Award, which aims to drive more engagement from K-pop fans around the world.
Having selected 13 finalists from different countries, the award will be given to the team with the most number of retweets, likes, replies and video views on their official Twitter accounts from Sept. 14 to Sept. 29.
The 13 finalists will also make an appearance during the event.
Some of them include Tiffani Afifa and Alphiandi from Indonesia, Sinem KadioÄźlu from Turkey, Antsa from Madagascar, Akif from Singapore, PartyHard from Russia, Fragiles Dance Crew from Nigeria and King Sman from Malaysia. They will compete against each other by singing and performing dance covers.
The K-pop World Festival was first launched in 2011, organized by South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and run by television channel KBS World. (asw)
