Also to welcome Earth Day, Apple announced a giveback program that will run until April 30. Through this program, Apple users will be able to hand in their devices at any Apple stores or via its website to be recycled or traded in. The company will make a donation to non-profit organization Conservation International for each device given in.

“At Apple, we’re constantly working toward smart solutions to address climate change and conserve our planet’s precious sources,” said Lisa Jackson, Apple's vice president of environment, policy and social initiatives, in a press release. “In recognition of Earth Day, we’re making it as simple as possible for our customers to recycle devices and do something good for the planet through Apple GiveBack. We’re also thrilled to introduced Daisy to the world, as she represents what’s possible when innovation and conservation meet.” (wir/kes)
