HBO GO now available in Indonesia

HBO's standalone streaming service, HBO GO, has launched in Indonesia, offering subscribers an unlimited number of movies and television series which include "Game of Thrones" and "Big Little Lies".

Satellite and cable network HBO released its standalone streaming service, HBO GO, in Indonesia on Wednesday.

In Asia, the service is currently available in Hong Kong, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam and is set to launch in more countries soon.

It is available to download from the App Store or PlayStore and offers a seven-day trial to give subscribers a taste of the app.

HBO GO allows its subscribers to access an unlimited number of popular films and television shows, including Game of Thrones, Big Little Lies, Sex and the City, Chernobyl and Watchmen. Users can also access exclusive series like The Handmaid’s Tale and The Deuce, which are only available on HBO GO.

The service also features local talent throughout its service, offering viewers HBO Asia Original Series, including anthology Food Lore, period drama Grisse and fantasy thriller Halfworlds.

App users can stream six of WarnerMedia Entertainment Network’s channels through the live TV function, namely HBO, HBO Signature, HBO Hits, HBO Family, Cinemas and Red by HBO.

Other features of HBO GO include parental control, true HD quality, video continuity and multi-language subtitles and audio tracks for selected series and movies. Subscribers can also download up to 20 videos.

HBO GO is available to download for Rp 60,000 (US$4.37) a month. (mad/wng)
