Galaxy Z Fold3 5G enhances productivity and gaming experience

amsung has just unveiled its third-generation flagship foldable Galaxy Z Fold3 5G phone, with a massive screen enabling users to watch, work and play like never before.
Samsung made the Galaxy Fold series debut in 2019 when launching its long-awaited first foldable smartphones globally. Samsung always refines every model of the Galaxy Fold lineup, which has become one of its success statements, and it has taken a great stride with the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, making it more durable. What is more, the device has also higher performance.
In refining Galaxy Z Fold3, Samsung responded to users’ experience as reflected in the device’s adoption of UX design. “Some of our users have expressed the need to view more information when unfolded and navigate faster. Based on that, we have set Multi View as the default for the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G. In Multi View users can check the list here and check the detailed information on their right side faster,” the company said.
It said one of the best ways to use the large screen was to divide the screen and work on multiple tasks simultaneously. “This time we’ve improved the experience so that the app that is already open stays as it is, even when dragging another app to open in split view.”
When it comes to multitasking, Galaxy Z Fold3 supports activities conveniently. The device is compatible with the S Pen, showcasing Samsung’s further improvement in software experience.
Users can pair their Galaxy Z Fold3 with the optional S Pen Fold Edition or Bluetooth-capable S Pen Pro and unfold their office anywhere and work with precision on the smooth, expansive 7.6-inch home screen.
You can use the S Pen to take notes, draw and multitask on a number of apps on the screen. The S Pen helps you accomplish your job, such as by creating a presentation and proposal, because it works in Microsoft Office. Additionally, it has the Handwriting to Text Feature, which enables users to write with the S Pen and convert it to text instantly and conveniently.
You can drag and drop images or blocks of text in motion. You don’t have to copy and paste. Or you can take advantage of the “Draw” functionality within PowerPoint and Word to sketch your ideas within the presentation or document.
There are two types of S Pen that Galaxy Z Fold3 supports, namely the S Pen Fold Edition and the S Pen Pro. In terms of size, the S Pen Pro is larger and more in line with a regular pencil or pen, compared to the S Pen Fold Edition, which is similar to Samsung’s previous non-powered S Pen models.
Users don’t need to charge the S Pen Fold Edition, but the S Pen Pro will need power. Samsung has included a USB Type-C port on the tip of the pen, which you can plug into a cable to charge. A 50-minute charge will give up to 16 days of battery life.
The S Pen Fold Edition can only fit in the Galaxy Z Fold3 and supports the Air Command navigation feature. Samsung does not provide an official Galaxy Z Fold 3 case to accommodate the S Pen Pro.
Samsung says the new S Pen Fold Edition makes it easy to stay productive with the expansive Main Screen. It has a precise 1.5 mm tip and low latency for a natural feeling while you write, sketch or take notes.
Powerful experience
The big screen is also good for entertainment, especially playing games.
In this case, Samsung has upgraded its display refresh rate in the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G from the previous 60 Hz to 120 Hz, with its software optimized to match. This means that the motion during an animation appears much smoother.

Samsung said the display refresh rate of 120 Hz would result in a smoother experience when enjoying content or video games.
A high refresh rate can make a big difference to the overall feel and perceived performance of a phone.
So, it is not exaggerating to say that with the big screen equipped with excellent performance, perfected with the smooth 120 Hz display, the Galaxy Z Fold 5G provides a powerful experience to play your favorite games.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 is very powerful because it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with 12 GB of RAM and either 256 GB or 512 GB of storage. It runs Android 11 with Samsung customizations for the folding UI.
Samsung says it will receive an update to Android 12. The company has committed to three generations of Android upgrades on the Fold series, so in this case, as far as Android 14.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 comes with the unique Flex Mode feature, which provides users with flexibility, especially in taking photos, creating and editing videos. With the Flex Mode feature, users can easily get top-down shots. You can capture living moments that impress you in a convenient way. The mode can be combined with Auto Framing, which automatically zooms in and out.
What is more, the Flex Mode feature enables you to take hands-free pictures and videos, while the cover screen preview allows you to use the rear cameras for higher-quality, ultra-wide and zoomed-in selfies.
Water resistance
Another wow point in the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is that it is water resistant. Samsung boasts that the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is the world’s first water resistant foldable smart phone. Supported by the IPX8 certification, the device can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes and come out of the ordeal without any damage. So, if you are using it and suddenly heavy rain falls and your device is exposed to the rain water and gets wet, it still can work because it has the necessary protections to prevent it from being instantly killed.
On top of water resistance, the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is highly durable, as it utilizes an aluminum frame and metallic hinge, making it stronger than the fold predecessors. The phone is also protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, Samsung said, which is 50 percent stronger than Gorilla Glass 6.

Samsung said the a super-strong, yet lightweight Armor Aluminum frame was the backbone of this incredible phone, protecting the interior parts of the hinge like a suit of armor. Accessories accompanying the Galaxy Z Fold 5G include the GalaxyWatch4 and the Galaxy Buds2 earbuds.
The Galaxy Watch4 can track your fitness progress, determine your body weight percentage, skeletal muscles, body water and more to achieve your goals.
With the Galaxy Buds2 for the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, you can take advantage Buds2 to get immersed in your world with incredible sound quality, noise canceling and custom audio settings, letting you control what you hear.
Samsung said that with Buds2, users could choose the sound they wanted to hear, as two microphones detected ambient noise while Active Noise Canceling blocked unwanted sound. Background noise can be reduced up to 98 percent to keep you fully immersed in your music, games, audio books and your favorite podcasts.
The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G is available in different colors: Phantom Black, Phantom Silver and Phantom Green. The choice is yours!
