ENPASAR: Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika has expressed his willingness to invite US President Barack Obama to attend the island's biggest art festival during the president's visit to Bali mid this month.
"I want to invite the president to watch various art performances and exhibitions to learn more about Balinese art and culture," the governor said.
The one-month long art festival will also feature arts and cultural performances from seven foreign countries including Sweden, Japan, the US, Canada, India and Singapore.
The governor said the US advance team had already coordinated with the provincial authority regarding the president's interests while visiting the resort island.
"There are three main points, which are President Obama's priorities; education, culture and democracy," Pastika explained.
