Pianist and composer Ananda Sukarlan has performed at some of the world's finest venues gaining international recognition, and it is about time that he has a piano playing competition named after him. The Ananda Sukarlan National Piano Competition aims to find new talents steeped in classical music. Starting on July 19, the selection process in the competition is for all of us to see. Opening the concert will be Inge M. Banuardi, winner of the 2008 competition. The competition process - which also doubles as a musical performance - starts on July 20 and runs until July 23.
