AKARTA: A female domestic worker died after she fell from an apartment building Wednesday morning in a suspected suicide.

The woman, identified as Vera, 21, landed on the asphalt courtyard in front of the tower’s lobby from the 29th floor of Sudirman Park Tower A in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.

Vera, who was found lying on her stomach wearing a black and white striped t-shirt and jeans, died at the scene with fractured hands, a broken jaw and hips.

Her body was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital in Central Jakarta for an autopsy.

Vera who came from Bogor was known to be a domestic worker for a resident named Deddy, 35.

“We are still investigating the crime scene to determine whether it was suicide,” Tanah Abang Police chief Comr. Hendra Gunawan said Wednesday as reported by detik.com.
