rofessor 'Fiz' Firmanzah, PhD, a professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Indonesia, became the new rector of Paramadina University, replacing Anies Baswedan, who currently serves as the Culture and Education Minister.

Fiz said it was an honor for him to be selected as the rector of Paramadina University.

Before becoming a rector, Fiz was a special staffer for economics for then President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and was the youngest professor and the dean of the Department of Economics at the University of Indonesia from 2009 to 2012.
