View all search resultsThe East Jakarta Forestry Agency is encouraging residents to report brittle trees to prevent them from falling down.
The agency cut down 925 trees across 10 districts between January and February.
"Every day, the agency prepares nine quick-response teams consisting of six personnel, each to cut down trees," the agency head Romi Sidharta said on Thursday as quoted by beritajakarta.com.
Each team is assigned to one district, he said.
Romi said his institution prioritized leafy trees. (dea)
