View all search resultsThe government is being flexible in allocating the state budget for social aid programs, aimed at the low- and middle-income families affected by the latest COVID-19 restrictions in Indonesia, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati has said.
To protect the economy from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government has decided to speed up the disbursement of training funds for workers through the preemployment card program, as well as increase the allowance provided to low-income families.
The government is considering two options: Increase the recipients of the program to around 15 million from 10 million families without increasing the value of the benefit, or increase the value but keep it at 10 million families.
