Choked by Jakarta smog, residents join forces to sue govt for better air quality
LBH Jakarta attorney Ayu Eza Tiara said the lawsuit would be addressed to the President, the Environment and Forestry Minister and the governors of Jakarta, Banten and West Java provinces. They plan to submit the lawsuit on June 18.

Indonesian students create device to monitor air quality
Three computer science students at Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java, have invented a technology to monitor air quality. Dubbed the SMOQ, the device operates by combining hardware that consists of an air quality detector and a microcontroller with software that can be installed on Android smartphones.
