The Health Ministry has temporarily banned sales of all syrup-based medications and has been looking closely at paracetamol syrups used locally to treat fever in children that contain diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol.

Indonesia contributes $15.5 million in fight against tuberculosis, malaria, HIV/AIDS
Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin said in a statement that money contributed to the effort came from the state budget as well as funding by the private sector. The move was for the first for Indonesia to become a contributor to the initiative.

G20 targets raising $1.5 billion for global pandemic fund
G20 countries have provisionally agreed to set up a multi-billion dollar fund that health officials have said will finance efforts like surveillance, research, and better access to vaccination for lower-to-middle income countries, among others.
