The husband of a cancer patient has retracted his claim that many people had promised to help the family but had never transferred funds prominently pledged for photographs. A 45-year old woman in Central Java says several people have promised to help her afford cancer treatment, but the family have only received a small fraction of the money prominently pledged on signs they were asked to hold up for the cameras.
