View all search resultsThe Transportation Ministry has sent warnings to the country’s biggest low-cost carrier Lion Air and state-owned low-cost carrier Citilink for a lack of enforcement of standard operating procedure (SOP) for its flight crew.
Transportation Minister Budi Karya has offered an apology to the public for an incident in which a Citilink pilot was removed from a Citilink QG-800 flight from Surabaya, East Java, to Jakarta on Wednesday, allegedly because he was drunk.
Citilink, the low-cost subsidiary of national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia, said Wednesday it had put one of its pilots under investigation after reports of an on-duty pilot allegedly under the influence of alcohol went viral online.
